Eritrea's national soccer team seeks asylum in Kenya »
Last weekend they all just sorta ditched their coach and went into hiding. Which is fair enough, Eritrea is suffering some tough times at the moment.

He’s a Moonie. How was he not defrocked ages ago?
Powder keg.
His alternate set of events are some Clancy/Flemming shit. Intriguing.
Sub umbra sede!
So, my friends and I have been working on a flash game called The Ground Is Lava, based upon the game many of us played together as kids (“don’t touch the ground, it’s made of lava!”). My buddy Ben did the art, Nolen did the coding, and I did the music.
We got it into a competition but we need help! If you could register (quick and free!) on the right and vote it a 5, we would be eternally grateful. If you’d reblog this post, we’d love you even more.
Thanks a ton and enjoy!

Brian’s game is fun. I played for a while despite being incredibly busy.
IFC “Christie” (1998) dir. Hank Perlman
Flowers are Pretty reminds me of one of my favorite ad campaigns ever, starring Hallie Eisenberg in 1998 when independent film was something.
I didn’t get IFC till sometime in 2005. I’m so glad I bothered to load flash to see this. Thank you, Adam.
people saying (possibly unfounded) things about agnostics.
There are lots of ‘strong’ agnostics. Strong agnosticism is in opposition to any firm stance on the existence of the divine. And stands in contrast to ‘personal’ agnosticism; the personal agnostic only making a claim about their own ignorance.
Strong agnostics come, like any group of people, in all sorts of flavors; asshole, self righteous, annoying, bubbly, warm, cynical, hysterical, etc. Making sweeping judgements about their character based on a single aspect of their lives is as ridiculous as it has always been. Suggesting that they don’t exist (even if you’ve never met one)? That’s just arrogant.
David Foster Wallace, in November 2007:
“In still other words, what if we chose to accept the fact that every few years, despite all reasonable precautions, some hundreds or thousands of us may die in the sort of ghastly terrorist attack that a democratic republic cannot 100-percent protect itself from without subverting the very principles that make it worth protecting?”
You all know about gruber’s new blog, right?
